WHAT IS A GEOMETRIC GRID?
A geometric grid is one that uses a geometric shape as a design for placing
stones that are then energized with a specific intention(s). Presently, one of the most commonly used geometric design is the Star of David, a six-pointed star shape. Other popular designs are the Hexagon, the Seed of Life and the Flower of Life. See the designs below:
The Star of David's triangular pattern makes a perfect area for placing the
stones that will go on top of this design. If you draw your attention to the two different colors (blue/gold) you will naturally see that this Star is composed
of two larger triangles of which one is inverted. This central area, where the
larger triangles come together, is where the 7th stone of the grid (the center stone), can be placed. Around the perimeter, smaller triangles are recognized
by their alternating blue and gold colors. This perimeter of these six triangles make excellent locations to place the other 6 crystals in this design.

For instance, if you wanted this grid to help with spiritual matters, the whole
construct could be placed in an area designated as Sacred Space as
defined by you. This can be an area that has received positive thoughts and energies, a place where there is not a lot of disturbance, where you go for quiet time or meditation.
Those of you who are Reiki practitioners of course know that you can enhance the energies of wands and crystals by utilizing the Reiki symbols. Simply start Reiki flowing then begin to energize the grid with the wand. Otherwise, use your best intentions to boost the already existing energy of the wand and the crystals. Ask for other energies to participate with you in the energization of the grid if their participation is for your highest and best interests or something better.
WANDS and ENERGIZING the GRID
A wand is an instrument used to energize crystal grids. Wands can be different sizes and shapes. (See the two examples below). There is not one wand that is particularly better than another, but there are some favorites that appear more popular with a majority of those who work with grids. Quartz and Selenite are two popular examples. Selenite, Amethyst, Kyanite shown below.

After careful, thought out crystal choices and their chosen placements begin to assemble the grid. Be aware of what the grid is being energized for and where it will be placed when it is assembled.
Place your chosen wand in
the hand of preference and
use it to TRACE an energy
pattern on the crystals that
are placed on the grid. See
diagram above. Try to be
as exact as you can when
tracing the hexagram. Be
careful to not move any of
the stones during or after
energizing the grid or you
will need to start over.
Position the wand above the
crystal at the beginning point.
